TwoThings (to Bean)

Once again

Upon speaking

To God

He reminded

Me of

Two things

One is

That true

Love is

Only true

When you

Love truly

Unencumbered and

Two that

A true

Spirit lives

Life satisfied

Are they

Not the

Same though

He asked

Faith (to Bean)

In life

We tend

To believe

In things

Objects people

Dogmas and

Relics things

That we

Point at

Things present

Things malleable

Yet it’s

The invisibility

Of faith

Like love

That is

Truth abundant

And personal

Faith fails

To be

Joined faith

Fails to

Be identified

Faith is

Simply quiet

And you

MostWon’t

Most won’t

Like you

Or love

You or

Help you

Or think

You’re attractive

So stop

Living for

Them in

Some vague

Hope and

Start living

For you

And you

Will hear

A hammer

Strike an

Anvil in

Heaven heralding

Your life

To you

Failure (to You)

A secret

In life

That we

Often avoid

Is failure

We all

Fail everything

Fails at

Being something

Sometime I

Had a

Fish once

That couldn’t

Float and

A canary

That couldn’t

Sing yet

It was

Happily a

Fish and

A lovely

Canary failure

Is a

Given and

Trying to

Avoid it

Is trying

To avoid

Your life

Tonight (to Bean)

And once

Again we

Sat this

Time in

A swing

And swung

Sharing shaved

Ice while

Laughing about

Silly things

As the

Sun winked

Behind a

Shadowed thicket

Of trees

And in

The earliest

Of Twilight

Hours far

Away planes

Scraped the

Sky white
