But lacking heat

Rowed these streams
That first rapids
Then dump into
A lake of
Complacency fine we’ll
Be the embers
Of friendship no
Longer stoking the
Flames of desire
Sitting at the
Buffet of you
I noticed my
Hunger each dish
The slope of
Your throat the
Sweetness of your
Lips each morsel
Of time that
We spent together
Sated my hunger
Now full the
Delicacies I sampled
Lack their allure
They’ve become just
Another meal substinence
Something to be
Devoured I’ve paid
The bill and
Left the table
Leaving you there
Just when when
I thought someone
Knew me something
I hadn’t anticipated
Stepped in front
Like a traffic
Cop stopping progress
Time got in
The way of
Us you having
Too little and
Me too much
Alone I’m used
To but waiting
I think not
I’m tired of
Watching all the
Trains go by
Knowing that you’re
Not on them
