He was never

Yours to keep

You were simply

The foot that

Prevented the door

From closing forever

You nursed the

Bird to health

Let him go

He will circle

But never roost

Try not to

Keep the sand

On the shore

For the sand

Belongs to sea

Let things go

That never belonged

Follow your path

TrainWhistle

As the sun

Rises and smiles

Upon my wall

From afar in

The distance like

The voices of

Parents at dusk

A train whistle

Blows once twice

Three times warning

But to me

It is calling

Saying come with

Me I’m going

Somewhere like the

Last plea of

A lover about

To leave me

Behind

Happiness

Happiness can never

Be given and

It can never

Be taken happiness

Can only ever

Be found but

Not out there

With someone or

At some place

Or during some

Time or another

Happiness can be

Shared with others

But it’s never

Theirs to keep

Until that is

They find theirs

Inside of themselves

PoetryKiss

Reading and writing

Poetry is like

Falling in love

When I write

I choose each

Word as carefully

As I choose

When and where

To kiss you

And when you

Read these words

Close your eyes

And let me

Take you somewhere

Of my creation

A place reserved

For just us

At this moment

Like my kisses

YourEyes (for Java)

When above me

You hovered inches

From my face

I saw therein

Your eyes creation

Not all of

Creation just ours

I witnessed something

Happening from nothing

And right there

I knew that

Like God said

It is good
