BeFound

What you find
Is never the
Thing looked for
It’s a thing
But never ever
The thing sought
That’s what the
Mind always says
But when the
Heart quietly listens
It can hear
The whispered wish
From another hoping
To find you

SuchQuiet

While looking out the
Window at this cold
And cloudy Denver morning
I am reminded of
One particularly chilly November
Day I hear the
Sounds and smell the
Aromas and remember then
And now and yet
And even still I
Am there not here
Not now not ever
I wonder why certain
Things cover us up
Like warm blankets drawn
Over our napping bodies
By our treasured memories

LoversSnow

I think that love
Falls from heaven just
Like snow at night
It’s known to be
There but only seen
When either caught in
The street lamps light
Or the brightness of
The eyes of the
Lovers giving and receiving

Sunrise

The sky lightened slowly
Yawning and stretching like
A napping cat moving
From the shadowy sofa
To the sunlit windowsill
Basking there like most
People do as they
Slowly start their day
The sun reminding them
That yesterday had its
Own sun and that
Today’s belongs to them

WhatIWant

I just want
A simple and
Uncomplicated quiet life
I don’t want
To be impressed
Nor be impressive
I want hums
For I am
Finished with trumpets
I want friends
To see me
And through me
And into themselves
For aren’t we
All just familiar
Versions of ourselves
