ForYou

I want to write
the world’s most beautiful
poem if only to
mirror thee but I
fear that what I
see will never be
in my simple words
for how can these
describe what angels breathe

DoDon’tToo

Aren’t you lonely
who me lonely
no I’m not
lonely people think
that others will
but others never
do and until
they accept that
then those who
don’t will never
do anything too

PackLight

Leave behind the things
and take with you
the lightest of all
those which require no
tired arms to carry
pack lightly too memories
leave behind the bad
ones with the things
and make room for
of all things the
good ones for good
ones are like balloons
and the bad ones
well those are anchors

DrowningMan

Here’s how it goes
The desperation sets in
the I’ll take anything
of it all and
then the remorse pulls
you under like a
drowning soon to die
dead man and you
break free and claw
and tear and finally
at last breathe again
and then right there
you realize that you
are not a drowning
man but that you
are and always will
be alive and desperation
belongs only to those
souls who can’t swim
and that one day
at last you will
be happy that you
didn’t follow them down
and into the depths
of that that desperation

Model

I promised you imagery
so here it goes
you are the color
of pumpernickel with raisins
delicately placed between lids
of the softest velveteen
followed by the thorns
of your lips protecting
the rose petal softness
of your tongue tucked
between the thickets of
mustache and beard hiding
and down and down
to the dry pool
of your belly where
once a salty sea
lay and further down
past the sleeping eel
and into the deep
darkness of your thighs
you are my nature
and I but a
painter with a brush
and this is the
you I see when
trying to remember thus
