Simpleland

Having lost
so often
having rebuilt
as many
I’ve learned
to live
down here
in Simpleland
up there
belongs only
to clouds
and those
foolish enough
to believe
that bigger
and more
is better

TicksClicks&Such

Ticks clicks
and such
these moments
these seconds
often missed
and mistakened
mean more
to me
than any
grand gesture
for they
not those
are my
twinkles seen
notes heard
sighs felt
loves kept

KnewThen

A brief
click one
small tick
a glance
then moments
later smile
and this
is when
the fall
knew summer
was gone
as we
did too

Teatime

It’s when
I touch
my lips
to cup
over rim
I spy
you doing
the same
delicate thing
to yours
to me
eyes lock
soon kisses
will too
lingering with
the tea
on tongue

Immortal

Immorality does not
live in the
minds of men
but instead it
prospers burning brightly
in the hearts
of others remaining
as precious memory
