Ignorant
If there’s one thing
that I have learned
in this long life
it is that you
can’t argue with ignorant
oh you can try
just like you can
try stopping a
spinning fan with fingers
but a spinning fan
will just continue spinning
just as ignorant will
just continue to rant
and isn’t that the
root of ignorant rant
leave them be in
the town square and
howling at the moon
for the moon doesn’t
have itself any ears

The noise
the noise
wanting brings
now silenced
and I
in the
quiet that
snow brings
to the
deep forest
finally finally
hears nothing
but nothing
Drift(s)(ing)
And you
like woods
and my
fingers falling
like snow
I land
upon limbs
covering them
in lightest
layers of
quiet affection
shifting now
back to
side my
snow blows
from head
to toe

The difference between
alone and loneliness
is simply this
alone is decided
chosen and celebrated
loneliness is given
decided by others
and gloomily accepted
with either one
reality is similar
whereas one welcomes
the other longs
whereas one glows
the other woes
