I know now
what family means
it is not
the relationship born
but rather chosen
it’s all wrong
this silly idea
that we’ve got
to tolerate others
to pretend to
make believe affection
family is who
you choose a
family did coddle
teach and show
but the moment
that you started
deciding anything you
began to choose
whom over what
this idea family
meant to you
Simplicities 🦃
On this day
of feasting friends
and family what
I’m most thankful
for is discovering
my enough and
my plenty my
enough in what
I need and
my plenty in
what I have
these two simplicities
bring utter bliss
yes to me
but also to
those around me
for having enough
and having plenty
brings all peace
