OneCupPer

One cup per
two people laying
and the rest
out there somewhere
all I know
is now this
and nothing more
it’s as if
you remove despite
having never moved
all the things
that I have
thought were important

Nighttime

And just
as the
moon breaks
the eave
it comes
this glow
a halo
starting atop
your head
and washing
ever lower
ever slower
until at
last it
disappears and
returns you
to darkness
and my
warm imagination

Matter

If anything
at all
remotely mattered
it would
be change
that is
the paradox
in order
to change
one must
disavow oneself
of one
thing for
another thing
that never
really mattered
change is
then the
only thing
that ever
might matter
at all
if ever

NopeNothing

Nothing matters
people don’t
want to
believe that
because they’ve
spent their
entire lifetime
convincing themselves
they do

then

Just what
does the
heart do
when it
stops beating
just what
does it
do then
having for
so long
done everything
and now
nary nothing
but sit
inside of
some thing
just what
does the
heart do

then
