I can’t explain 
why nor even 
what but now 
the when and 
where and who
are known life 
is full of 
mystery far more 
than is known 
or even pursued 
we think that 
we know what’s 
best for us 
based upon want 
but the Universe 
knows our needs 
and blesses those 
who follow path

He’s the only 
person who I
wanted to see 
come through my
apartment door and 
the last person 
who I thought 
ever would life 
does return love 
that was lost 
trust the Universe 
do its bidding 
reap its rewards 
miracles do happen 

It’s so strange 
to think that 
everything could lead 
up to this 
and that maybe 
all of those 
random things were 
just little pieces 
trying to figure 
out how to 
make this now 
like the notes 
of a song 
coming together to 
make this harmony 
known as us 

To accept 
is to
christen be
it ship
path or
purpose to 
accept is
to launch 
be it 
known or 
unknown for 
where is
much less 
important than 
the when

I never thought 
that I would 
but I did
and that slope 
found me there
stuck in mud
at the bottom 
of the hill 
but it wasn’t 
the slope nor
even the hill 
that caused landslide 
but the rains 
of love that 
broke the treetops 
causing everything underfoot 
to give way 
and now years
later what had
been swept away 
by the monsoon
has been rebuilt 
stronger than before 
and maybe now 
we can see
the vista of 
what we us
you and me 
just could be
