Laughing

Tickle me
with good
make me
peel laughter
‘til I
can’t breathe
and then
kiss me
breathe into
me breathlessly
the soul
you stole
from me
running away
like glee

Ceremony

Pasture I have
found stream there
look a valley
a mountainside vestibule
adorned with flowers
maybe a wedding
or even christening
some ceremony or
celebration of sorts
life I suppose
beginning or end
begging me to
stay but I
dare not for
this is not
my time but
someone else’s mine
is to come

Beat

One life
to live
a lifetime
perhaps not
for if
the heart
is what
gives life
then wouldn’t
every heart
that each
one touches
also beat
with a
different one

Flowers

Even in darkness
flowers sleep buds
close and curl
and in day
when the sun
invites and beckons
do they brighten
and this love
is you to
me for around
you I am
but a prairie
of wild flowers

Remain

Remain present
witness life
let dreams
drift for
they belong
to future
and memories
to past
remain rooted
in relevance
by not
drifting away
