Peace does 
not prevent 
or prohibit 
nor does 
it provide
peace never 
permits or
ever promotes 
nor does 
it promise 
it certainly 
doesn’t protect 
peace is
just that 

The easiest way 
to get someone 
to love you 
is to be 
the kind of 
person that someone 
wants to love 

Once dust
settles barren
plains regain
their life
new layers
of past 
bring with 
them bridges 
connecting despair 
to hope 
to harmony 
onto destiny 
an end 
signals birth 

Victory mine
not war
or battle
race or
fight but
of hunt
to find 
this peace 
of place 
as moon
dips below 
and sun
floats up 
I’m reminded
peace shows 
in simple 

Writing a poem 
is to me 
like sending a 
child to school 
his first day 
knowing that when 
he does return 
at the end 
of his day 
who he is 
will be changed
because of those 
who he met
