Fruits of my
very own labor
come to bear
succulent and savory
the aromatic air
of peace and
quiet and care
room by room
I cautiously dare
to sweep
and mop unaware

I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
ChinChin
Walls nah
boundaries pish
nope I’ve
built a
fortress complete
with moat
and ramparts
knock all
you want
bring your
battering ram
lay siege
but bruh
you ain’t
getting in
not by
the hair
of yo
chinny chinchin
Accident
Some seek
others gawk
some peek
and a
few look
I glance
and dance
around it
all having
been myself
a victim
of hit
and run
Guess
We think that
we know when
all we can
do is guess
and then we
punish ourselves for
getting it wrong
what if forgiveness
started long before
taking a whack
at things uncertain
and that right
is frequently wrong
Happy
I’m happy
despite others
and not
because of
them and
that little
awareness has
made all
the difference
