Fall signals the
End of summer
Exploding in color
Leaves sun succulent
Finally release summers
Sunny long days
I have learned
That the end
Of things is
Never the end
But new beginnings
Don’t fear the
Fall but celebrate
Both warm memories
Of languid lazy
Days and what
We might be
Next time around
Day is glowing
Low on horizon
Like eyes still
Sleepy from dreams
The sky resembles
Pictures from space
An orb of
Blue with wisps
Of white gray
And orange I
Feel like a
Child spying his
First earth wondering
What life holds
Way out there
My favorite time
When my world
Next to me
Still sleeps knowing
That he will
Awaken soon just
Like the heavens
If I give
Love expect it
To arrive without
A return address
If it doesn’t
Fall upon you
It shall fall
Upon another needing
It but please
Know that it’s
Addressed to you
And so he
Just walked out
