Seesaw

We played on

The seesaw up

And down and

Up and down

Laughing at how

Odd we were

Yet still balanced

But then one

Day there wasn’t

You across from

Me and I

Didn’t know how

To rise again

And then I

Discovered me alone

I pushed to

Stand and finally

My own balance

No more games

No more tipping

Just me there

On my own

Filling

I tend to

Build new relationships

On the shoulders

Of old ones

As though my

Love is a

Seven layer cake

With the sweetest

Filling at the

Bottom not because

It’s the best

Just the first

Upon which all

Others are measured

WhatsLeft

What is left

After the anger

Disappears probably the

Same things left

Behind by the

Tide a Galaxy

Of sparkling stones

Begging you to

Take notice now

Because tomorrow they

Will all disappear

Beneath something else

DishCalledMe

Sadly you’ve become

That absent spice

Noticed upon tasting

A spoonful of

Something that one

Thing that you

Forgot until it’s

Missing one part

Of many that

Now creates this

Dish called me

Wind

Like the wind

That brings rain

Like the wind

That rustles leaves

Like the wind

That whisks heat

Like the wind

That falls snow

Like the wind

You I never

Listened to until

Now when I

Don’t hear it
