If all that
you can do
is move one
leaf from sidewalk
to the grass
then do that
for even one
small gesture when
combined with others
that others do
changes the world
faster than the
sweeping grand gestures
of the schemers

Dumb
I’ve finally decided
to be dumb
not stupid or
ignorant just dumb
plain old dumb
and not Dumbledore
or dumb forevermore
dumb for now
not for nothing
just a while
that is until
all the others
find their own
way out or
back out from
where they’ve so
conveniently stuck their
heads be it
sand or arse
Nobody
Even those
who think
don’t know
at all
they might
have found
the breadcrumbs
but I
have long
ago took
my flight
leaving them
to wonder
and I
to ponder
Of
There’s this one
melody that no
matter the place
or time or
person or thing
it reminds me
of someone else
like a ghost
it taps and
when I turn
no one’s there
except my ache
is that what
it’s come to
a dull gnaw
a taste of
a tidbit something
stuck between teeth
or maybe something
I’d had once
too much of
Snowmen ⛄️
I see snowmen
walking between snowflakes
buried under layers
of down and
wool and hats
heavy boots and
mittens and breathing
smoke from mouths
everything slows now
though the desire
to get in
outweighs the out
and prints pace
from car to
door to car
like dance steps
painted onto floors
of some school
teaching social manners
