When I was younger
I bent my bicycle
tire funny thing about
bicycle tires once bent
they will never be
true again unlike people
you can’t straighten out
a bent bicycle tire
but bent people can
I have learned to
never assume that your
being bent now is
being bent forever for
being true unlike bicycle
tires means being honest
with yourself and while
you may wobble at
first you will surely
eventually glide down the
hill feeling the wind

is choices
grab if

but chase
when you

gold has
ever been
found by
those settling

this growth

finally realize
that having
dreams and
making them
come true
are different
I dream
we dream
but making
requires a
march a
campaign usually
much longer
than planned
with retreats
and obstacles
sieges seizing
finally victorious
and taking
their spoils
