WhatIMissMost

Know what I miss

What I miss most

Now please don’t laugh

Because this thing that

I miss is personal

What I miss most

Is your breathing specifically

Your breathing as it

Changes from awake to

Sleeping for you see

In that precise moment

When in and out

Changes to aaah mmmm

I know that then

You are in the

Arms of dream angels

MeaningWhat

There is nothing

In this world

That is meaningless

We assign meaning

Or less meaning

Or no meaning

To things that

We do and

Say for the

Sole purpose of

Denying our responsibility

Everything that we

Do or say

Is our responsibility

And to take

A cavalier approach

By assigning anything

As meaningless points

The spotlight on

You and your

Pervasive abject selfishness

BarTime

I’m in the doldrums

Caught between hither and

Nigh limbo fence sitting

A wallflower waiting watching

And wondering who if

And when someone will

If they ever will

I see eyes eyeing

Studying snouts turned upwards

Trying to catch scents

Of fowl in grass

Some prey are thankful

For not being eaten

But me just once

I wish to be

Someone else’s midnight snack

MenHa

So many many men

Who look like men

Have egos as delicate

As a freshly iced

Pond in late November

One awkward step and

It disintegrates as quickly

As a sugar cube

Dropped into hot tea

And you’re left blinking

And wondering why what

Part of not interested

Is so damn damaging

As you watch them

Run under the hem

Of their mama’s skirt

SmallCorners

I think that what’s

Important is the small

Corner of the bigger

World we all live

In such a place

That corner which disappears

Like mist above ponds

Like dreams upon waking

But to us our

Very own tiny corner

Is enough to sweep

To tidy to decorate

And to welcome others

Whose own little corners

Got swallowed up by

This our round world
