Accepting one

You’re told

The outcome

It becomes

An adventure

Only upon

Beginning and

Becomes a

Success not

When you

Achieve the

Prize but

Rather when

You assimilate

All the

Pieces gathered

Along the

Way so

Is love

And life

My dear

Dear friends

A tree

We see

Is not

The tree

That is

A tree

We see

Is upside

Down while

What we

See may

Be beautiful

It’s roots

Are it’s

Strength as

Are we

And then

The logs

Jammed down

River and

The more

I jumped

And pushed

And pulled

The tighter

They became

Then I

Knew that

I had

Nothing to

Do with

The quagmire

And surrendered

Allowing the

River to

Untangle itself

Spoke to

God again

They put

You to

Your knees

Don’t they

He asked

I nodded

Yes who

Helps you

Stand He

Asked You

Do I

Prayed no

He said

I simply

Raise your

Eyes to

Mine it’s

You that

Then stands

Lost I

Looked and

Found none

Then remembered

A mouse

I’d known

I’d freed

Him from

A trap

And gave

Him back

His life

In darkness

I know

That what

I seek

Is not

Mine but

Those lives

Of others

To help

A blessing
