There’s this in between
A point of equilibrium
A place of comfort
When what is lacking
And what is grand
Are neither less than
Or greater than the
Other meaning that what
Attracts you and what
Detracts you is balanced
By who they are
This equity you uncover
Is when you discover
That you’re in love
You do know right
That I fell in
Love with you long
Before I touched you
Like the flower that
Felt the sun’s warmth
Causing it to reach
Way higher beyond itself
And then when I
Touched you I knew
That I was your moon
Opposite but as bright
In my own way
We made each other
The things people see
They do belong together
Love is vast it’s
Abundant and delicious and
Full except when pain
Is involved when either
The heart breaks or
The heart aches both
Requiring time for either
Healing or for waiting
Both of which we
Must always endure alone
Between now and then
Most things happen then
Wherever now and then
Is whether it’s very close
Or very far all
The things are the
Things that make up
Your life it’s the
Between between now and
Then where you live
The now and end
Are simply the beginning
And the finish of
That part of life
Now ready set go
Distance whether it’s a
Foot or many miles
Always requires a bridge
Some bridges span canyons
While others span inches
But most bridges bring
Two different things together
The thing that’s required
For bridges to work
Isn’t rope and wood
It’s the willingness for
Those two separate sides
To be tied together
So are we yet
Willing to be closer
Now than this far
