I have been blessed
With the wisdom of
No where to go
And nothing to prove
No where to look
And nothing to have
No one to love
And nothing to leave
I can simply sit
Here enjoying the sunrise
And reveling the sunset
Knowing that things in-between
Have been absolutely perfect
One who you see
As peaceful and calm
Doesn’t mean that he
Has no demons it
Simply means that his
Demons no longer have
Him there’s a difference
The funny thing about
Vision is that it
Don’t require eye sight
It does require heart
So just as love
One must learn to
Trust what one cannot
See in order to
Create something extraordinarily beautiful
That only kindred hearts
Are capable of seeing
Love is the
Song of angels
Being in love
Is a privilege
For being in
Love is taking
One step closer
To your God
I’ve always been different
It runs through my
Veins like water through
A gorge I’ve always
Known that ever since
I was a child
So being gay seemed
Normal part and parcel
But to so many
Others being gay was
So unusual that they
Hid their uniqueness shied
Away from the others
Until June Pride Month
When the rainbow colors
Fly far and wide
For all the world
To see celebrating not
Just being LGBTQ+ but
Also everyone’s vibrant uniqueness
