What I do know
About love is that
Love is the fabric
Of the Universe and
That each time that
You love someone else
You are picking up
Another thread with which
To weave your life
What I do know
About love is that
Love is the fabric
Of the Universe and
That each time that
You love someone else
You are picking up
Another thread with which
To weave your life
It’s a funny thing
Every single morning I
Start with some coffee
And every single day
I think wow this
Is the best coffee
Ever but is it
Or is it the
Best because it’s today’s
We spend so much
Time remembering and hoping
That we often forget
That one simple steaming
Aromatic creamy strong cup
Of morning warmth sitting
In front of us
Yes I mean you
My little own espresso
He makes me happy
He brings out the
Boy in me and
I bring out the
Man in him an
Elusive exchange of roles
One that provides memory
And one that provides promise
One that allows recollection
Of happier easier times
One that affords hope
For a better tomorrow
Our own time machine
You know at first
It’s so damned hard
To let him go
But like a vessel
First set to sea
That place the old
Place gets smaller and
Smaller with each passing
Hour then you’re nowhere
And then finally then
You are somewhere else
New full of promise
And not broken promises
So you said it
You told the truth
Why you asked me
Is being yourself so
Hard because the world
Doesn’t understand things that
It simply can’t accept
As normal when normal
Isn’t what they do
So you said it
To families and friends
That you are gay
And now your little
Corner of the world
Knows what normal really
Is because you are
