LateVirtues

I’ve always been blessed

But patience wasn’t included

I’m not sure why

Patience like other virtues

Like forgiveness and love

Seem to slowly blossom

Like late season hydrangeas

And remain long after

Our simple beauty fades

Perhaps late season virtues

Are those which carry

Us to Heavens gate

And let us in

HeartSong

I can’t remember lyrics

But I can hum

With the best of

Them I’ve always hummed

In fact I could

Whistle before I talked

There’s something to be

Said there I’ve always

Loved long before I

Understood and that tunes

Are the hearts song

LoveOut

The difference between selfishness

And selflessness is simple

The first is survival

And the second living

When one is selfish

One thinks of oneself

When one is selfless

One only thinks others

Put it another way

Love occurs inside selflessness

And is expressed outwardly

Greed occurs inside selfishness

And is expressed inwardly

To live love out

LifeTime

Age creaks youth bounces

And the middle resists

Running away from one

And into the other

The pain of life

Reminding me reminding me

I’m not done yet

Now in my Autumn

When youths leaves turn

Comes my brightest colors

And then and only

Then I’ll be gone

SnowFallPlay

And then in the

Corner of the lower

Pane snow gathered gathering

And I could hear

The little sounds of

Tickling glee as the

Outstretched hands of snowflakes

Took hold of one

Another like school children

Playing in the yard
