Wisdom

Wisdom does not age

Wisdom comes from empathy

For those who never

Feel will never know

Wisdom rises from seeds

Sown through our lifetimes

Reaped not when harvested

But when quietly listened

Wisdom is the wind

To some it cools

To most it blows

To all it moves

Kiss

When I kiss you

I want your lips

To open like an

Envelope to my letter

I want them to

Frame my lips like

A piece of art

And drift apart like

Clouds in the sky

When I kiss you

I kiss your soul

StonesAndBreadcrumbs

On every single path

There’s stones and breadcrumbs

Having been left before

Behind by something other

Always leading never alone

And on we go

Never knowing always wondering

Until finally at last

We eventually get there

Wherever there that is

Only we will know

FallPoetry

Fall is like poetry

Leaves are like words

They start like shade

Under which to hide

Then move and shimmer

Swooshing their own melodies

Turning slowly into something

Else like whispered affection

Bursting with colorful meanings

And slowly dropping dancing

Twirling and landing bringing

Joy and kicking crackles

Oh how I do

Love poetry and fall

AutumnAgain

There’s something about fall

That brings such comfort

Brilliant colors and awe

Trees exploding like fireworks

That last for days

Of layers put on

And eventually taken off

Like the armor we

Wear before meeting someone

And the nakedness after

Of once cold drinks

Migrating to warmer ones

While anticipating the holidays

We live in such

A fast world that

Autumn slows down reminding

That change brings beauty
