Toys

And still the

Teasing continues like

A toddler with

A Jack-in-the-box you

Wind me up

And out I

Jump to the

Sound of glee

Or you like

The school bus

Which I patiently

Await I hear

From afar wagging

Knowing that soon

We will play

On this sunny

And warm afternoon

Nest (to Dewayne)

We dance the

Dance the pirouette

Of interest and

Curiosity like hummingbirds

Bobbing about the

Same sugary feeder

Called us we

Hover and dive

Picking up pecks

Of sweet nectar

Or like starlings

Hopping amongst twigs

We look for

That special wood

Which would make

Our nest complete

Pic (to Dewayne)

And after the

Chat the portrait

Arrived and like

A child watching

Fireworks my heart

Sped up and

My mouth uttered

Ooos and ahhhs

And I shook

With glee like

A dog in

From the rain

Over

I tried I

Tell you I

Really did try

But you are

Like a plastic

Bag heat sealed

Impossible to open

So instead I

Grip and rip

Try to pull

And yank apart

Until you explode

A pipe bomb

Of pelting emotion

Shards and shrapnel

All over me

Making me bleed

The words it

We are over

SeasonalIntimacy

And with each

Spring comes each

Fall that time

When summers warmth

Is deckle edged

With the crispness

Of drowsy chill

Slowly moving into

The winters dream

Sometimes affection turns

The same way

Attraction blooms and

Slowly shifts like

Late October winds

Cooling almost everything
