There is a game

One in which there

Is never a winner

Or even a loser

Just carnage abysmal carnage

And like most carnage

It gets burned buried

And forgotten to make

Room for more games

And more carnage yet

It’s a game played

Every four years and

Nothing ever changes except

The depth of dead

Will we ever learn

This needs to change

America

It’s with a heavy

Heart that I admit

That I am scared

Breakups are never easy

Yet here we are

Once had now gone

I will miss you

And what you promised

I did love you

But then you cheated

With the one that

You promised to avoid

You promised me that

Never shall we mingle

And yet you did

I should’ve expected it

Seduction is always sweet

Until the apple bitters

And it always does

Perfect

Someone asked me to

Describe the perfect kiss

A wind chime hung

On the porch’s corner

Playing a soft Autumn

Breeze at the same

Time the curtains dance

And all that follows

Immortality

Don’t waste your life

Pursuing fame for immortality

Resides in the hearts

And minds of those

Who will survive you

Be the talk of

The campfire be the

Story and laughter at

The holiday bring joy

To others now it’ll

Still be there long

After you are gone

ComingOut (to Jay)

So you said it

You told the truth

Why you asked me

Is being yourself so

Hard because the world

Doesn’t understand things that

It simply can’t accept

As normal when normal

Isn’t what they do

So you said it

To families and friends

That you are gay

And now your little

Corner of the world

Knows what normal really

Is because you are
