FairyLove

When I was young

We had a bottle

Filled with fairy juice

In it was a

Halo on a wand

You wished and blew

Out popped a fairy

It glided and bounced

It sparkled and shimmered

As it caught sunlight

But when chased when

Caught and tried to

Keep it popped disappearing

Into a million sparkles

This is love now

At least to me

Born from a wish

Through a halo breathed

Only to pop disappearing

When I dare touch

Shadows

Shadows are funny things

Children frolic with them

While adults run away

Oftentimes I do think

That shadows are our

Mirrors reflection soul side

The part of ourselves

Rarely gazed upon infrequently

Considered but always there

Reminding us all that

Even our souls have

A dark side seen

TooSoonTooFast

I remember simpler times

Times when what we

Knew was limited and

What we didn’t was

Found in books and

Imaginations tucked deeply away

On lonely dark shelves

Today knowledge is immediate

But wisdom whether about

Another or a thing

Requires time and experience

The mind is an

Entitled child taking discarding

Barely opened things but

The heart from where

Wisdom flows is ever

But an elder rocking

On a porch somewhere

Recalling recounting and remembering

The wrongs they did

Gone

Some just can’t stay

It’s a lesson learned

Likely as a child

For me it was

Spike a roughhousing cat

Why he had to

Go I’ll never know

And throughout my life

Others followed him to

Where I’ll never know

But as I age

I do know this

That wherever they have

Gone that I will

Too one day follow

SuperPower

Oh now come on

Who doesn’t want a

Super power to be

Able to do things

Others cannot the only

Difference between a super

Power and an abomination

Is a person’s desire

To have be do

Even if you’re born

That very special way
