Oh Christmas when
The world turns
To love the
Love of friends
The love of
Trees and the
Love of snow
The love of
Toys and the
Love of giving
But the greatest
Love of all
Is the love
Of this time
Love of Christmas
Oh Christmas when
The world turns
To love the
Love of friends
The love of
Trees and the
Love of snow
The love of
Toys and the
Love of giving
But the greatest
Love of all
Is the love
Of this time
Love of Christmas
I don’t care
Who it is
Or where they
Are this thing
Called Christmas touches
Everyone in its
Own unique way
For me it’s
All about giving
For others it’s
Receiving but for
Most most of
All it’s about
Family however you
Ever define that
It’s on its
Way making its
Way to you
Brown and furry
Plush and warm
Something that listens
Sometimes to hold
If I could
Have I’d wrapped
Myself up and
Sent me instead
But apart we
Must be this
Christmas you there
So instead I
Sent you me
If I were stuffed
Because every boy
Needs a bear
A sweater some
Flannels a pair
Of fuzzy socks
One cup of
Marshmallow bobbing cocoa
A choral classic
Of familiar melodies
Glassy spheres of
Varying size and
Color a box
Full of green
Twinkling spaghetti whose
Plugs are buried
Beneath green blue
Red and yellow
Bulbs a kidnapped
Evergreen standing naked
A kaleidoscope of
Paper and ribbon
One closet stocked
Full of toys
A stack of
Holiday cards filled
With warm greetings
These are what
The holidays always
Mean to me
Let’s talk snow
Having grown up
In Wisconsin we
Learned the different
Types of snow
There’s wet snow
And dry snow
There’s blowing snow
And packing snow
There’s brittle snow
And snowglobe snow
There’s flurries and
There’s blizzard snow
There’s barely snow
And white-out snow
Snow is a
Lot like love
To most it’s
Something to avoid
But to those
That know it
Well that’s Wonderland
