To royalty surrounded
By baubles trinkets

I simply stare
Watching the lights

This the long
Awaited time of
The Christmas tree
It’s this special
Time of year
When the world
Regains its innocence
When stars sparkle
Brighter in colder
Skies when Heaven
Itself falls as
Light snow covering
Everything in white
Paradise when we’re
More interested in
Giving than receiving
This season where
Sounds and smells
Spark vivid memories
Of simpler times
And especially this

And there is
A day here
In America on
The last Thursday
In November when
The skies are
Grey and littered
With snow and
The wind blows
Cold against faces

To gather around
A table giving
Thanks for those
Most important things

Families however that
Group is defined
A day of
Laughter and football

Today is Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to
