There are different 
types of peace
of mind of
conflict of others 
and of oneself 
and genuine peace 
follows that path 
first mind then
man then me
do not rush 
give respect to 
each in time 

All it
did was
stay on
two no
fireworks no
fanfare just 
two well
boo hoo 
so much 
for one 
more hour 
with you 
know who

I have finally 
turned the corner 
after having walked 
aimlessly down one 
dead end street 
woefully after another 
with each step 
emptying my pockets 
of my past
at least reaching 
the streets of 
present and future 
and decided to 
walk that way 
down that street 
to the horizon 

I never knew 
just how much
a frame cost
far more than 
the paint and 
canvas and vision 
that makes up 
the art inside 

Some see being 
alone as lonely 
but me I 
see it living
a solitary life
one of freedom 
as in liberty 
and of autonomy 
and of authority 
to simply do 
or not do 
too but either 
do or not 
are my decisions 
and nobody else’s 
so is peace
