Lazy day Sunday 
when the sun
takes its time 
to slowly rise
and the coffee 
that’s usually so
eager can wait
no need to 
dust off sleep 
for days like 
these are made 
for more kisses

It’s just me 
sounds like there’s 
something else missing 
that if added 
would make better 
it’s only me
is getting closer 
to thinking that 
I’m the priority 
it’s purely me 
is my essence 
no longer needing 
anything nor anyone 
to make complete 

Clean the bathroom and 
Transition my home decor 
To spring from winter 

It hurts 
sometimes this 
being honest 
a kind 
of burn
that gnaws
and yet
never blisters
a very 
dry bleed
that refuses 
to weep 

I’ve come 
to terms 
with this 
life never 
really stops
just living 
it does
and so 
at this
ripe age 
I’m going 
to keep 
sliding down 
monkey bars 
glued thighs 
be damned
