Now on the cusp
Of realizing my dreams
I find that I
Don’t and never did
Ever need anyone else
Oh I do suppose
That I like others
Did once believe that
Only because others did
Many others in fact
That we all marched
Kept in tidy formation
Like little tin soldiers
Until at some point
We understood that dreams
Are personal and only
Belong to those brave
Enough to cast them
I have now found
Just as much joy
Fishing in a pond
Absent of any fish
Then in a pond
Chock full for it’s
Not what is caught
But the simple joy
In knowing you do
Month: February 2023
HereHereAnd
And from the darkness
Came a voice I’m
Here here and everywhere
And this voice said
Nothing more nothing more
Than I’m here here
And everywhere and I
Expecting an Angel or
Demon to appear came
None but the voice
Echoing I’m here here
And everywhere and standing
So still like a
Feather mid flight I
Listened and finally heard
No no not heard
But felt the voice
Pleading and then repeating
I’m here here and
Everywhere anyone’s ever been
And ever will be
Yet nobody ever knows
Future
The future is
One step away
You can stay
Where you are
But that future
Will avoid you
For the future
Only ever comes
To those moving
Fail you will
Succeed you might
But your future
Indeed surrounds you
Front and back
Left or right
Dare to move
SeasonalConversation
And when the world
Needs to rest Fall
Says to Summer I
Arrive for sometimes even
Time needs to slow
Down but Spring chimes
In doesn’t the world
Need its own hope
That’s what I’m for
Winter coldly cackles the
Other three laugh aghast
How could you with
Your snow and ice
Bring about this hope
Because my friends one
Of us must be
The one that promises
Better for the others
You three have fanfare
But me I’m silence
ThereThereNow
It’s flesh which attracts
But character that keeps
People are but presents
Prettily offered often given
Frequently received rarely kept
But just like gifts
The one that’s giving
Thinks that the recipient
Wants or sometimes needs
That which they offer
It is this arrogance
Often mistaken for benevolence
That’s their critical flaw
For one certainly knows
What they ultimately want
And will in good time
Discover it by themselves
So shelve your hubris
And rather be there
