have happened recently 
soul things love 
things past and 
present and future

given me the 
peace as promised

with its harmony

I yearn to shiver

I hear Holst or
Richter or even Tchaikovsky 
I long to yearn 
like I do when 
I hear Debussy or
Satie or even Chopin
I long to dance 
like I do when 
I hear Summers or
Michaels or even Lizzo 
I wish to sing
like I always do 
when I’m with you 

The snow lightens first 
and then disappears quickly 
like original sin is 
removed by holy water 
and a little while 
later the rest of 
ones sins the mountains 
are slowly cautiously revealed 
as the sun’s truth

the penance of night
