I’d describe him
like a piece
of chewing gum
recently unwrapped and
popped into mmouth
flavorful and sweet
then slowly digested
resulting in bubble
snap and pop
a playful ease
a new taste
curious and juicy
the kind that
ends in pocket
to be enjoyed
again and again
over and over

preferring to
remember than
to make
for making
requires effort
whereas remembering

Clouds
Today clouds
mirror you
laying on
the beach
flat beneath
they reflect
the land
and you
flat beneath
absorbing same
but both
billowing above
as they
rise higher
to infinity

And then Bach
as you turned
and without looking
laid hand upon
my chest and
the cellos of
my heart began
moaning and without
seeing my heart
whispered to yours
that I will
love you just
like this until
forever does pass
into forever more
and forever more
beyond even that
Day
So few
things such
sun crawling
into night
slowly lightening
you turning
into me
from sleep
to wake
both are
my rise
and fall
as quiet
