Lava

Sometimes you
just need
to put
on the
headphones and
play some
Pink Floyd
or some
Led Zeppelin
cranking the
music up
and remember
when lava
lamps were
a thing

Morning

I love
morning most
when hope
and happiness
slowly trickles
and tickles
and fingers
find flesh
and hands
their home
this quiet
without question

Three

Today marks three
just a few
more than one
or a couple
it’s the beginning
of a pattern
or the end
of an achievement
not a gaggle
or a group
maybe a clique
this three though
will go unnoticed
like little eggs
in a nest

Lava

An early start
to quiet before
the traffic jams
of to do’s
clog the arteries
of coffee stillness
and when waves
of needs and
attention arise like
magma billowing out
from deep underground

Try

At the end
I tried means
more to the
soul than I
was afraid or
scared ever will
