Drippity drip drop
even a dribble
and a drool
oh make up
your feisty mind
either rain now
or pull back
your silly tears
I have places
to go and
plans to keep
none of which
involve your seep
steep and weep

I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
Odd
Odd morning this
moment on desert
mountain cloudy so
no hikers seen
fear of being
caught in rain
in the valley
and down below
they will stay
rain dries the
longer the fall
Sky
Band of white
flanked by black
like deep bruises
stop at bandage
so are mountains
and sky today
a pearl bracelet
seen between wrist
and sleeve hem
of silent mourning
oh and now
bit of blue
turquoise just appeared
and now disappeared
behind the somber
Towel
White towels I
chose for you
black for me
I want to
see the stain
of you on
something other than
my broken heart
Picture
Crooked picture
in frame
set out
and ignored
always overlooked
dog whose
head tilts
stare I
still do
and wonder
when the
memories of
you turned
from perfect
to this
