If one
were true
there would
be no
need for
lies a
wheel that
is needs
no pedal
to turn

I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
Afternoon
*sigh think
look far
off afield
at nothing
but wonder
feel breeze
bringing better
sun creeps
past eaves
its warmth
adds hope
it’s quiet
this wandering
and waning
summer afternoon
Huh
Interesting when
nothing’s wrong
something needs
to be
rather than
sitting in
quiet peace
toes dipping
softly in
the mind
races like
squirrels knowing
where nuts
might be
they must
be aren’t
they here
though huh
Soon
Distracted like
a dog
hearing engines
and wondering
if Bobby’s
finally home
like a
student looking
one way
then another
for the
postman knowing
the letter
is near
like a
lover listening
to the
shower curtains
swoosh and
hairbrush knowing
that deliciousness
is nigh
Glass
We are mirrors
simply reflecting back
what is before
for no one
is really interested
in ever peeking
around back to
see who’s this
curious glass hiding
