So pretty
this piano
begging me
come closer
I have
a secret
it sings
melodies of
your kiss
that too
rises and
falls quietly
in pitch
and pleasure
Author: Harlan Didrickson
I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
Imagine
Imagine
having loved
for a
lifetime only
to not
Imagine
the barrenness
that dank
irreverent chill
dried husks
of something
once was
Imagine
after all
someone else
a drink
and morsel
a fallen
seed overlooked
takes hold
and spreads
Imagine
a field
flowers filled
oh wheat
barley too
and children
their laughter
nothing really
ever ends
so long
as you
Imagine
WritingYou (to Bean)
And here
I thought
my writing
you left
you embarrassed
so I
stopped it
oh not
writing you
no that
I couldn’t
but telling
you because
that I
knew that
I could
Best
We didn’t know
I certainly didn’t
that we were
poor poor being
a perspective I
suppose of something
else being wrong
I just thought
that not having
anything was normal
that was until
I did see
what others did
and then envy
and then jealousy
supplanted being poor
that some how
life was out
there and that
this was not
though it was
oh it was
a better time
the best time
best of all
Stock
And when I
do finally reach
the depot with
ticket in hand
I expect to
answer your questions
taking stock of
what was then
my life lived
things will be
counted debated argued
and finally decided
upon which platform
I board going
on or maybe
even going back
