It’s always just one
note and never one
song that carries me
just one note repeated
again and again and
once again and then
again once more again
like those first raindrops
that fall onto pools
creating ringlets of water
that move outwards without
so much as care
it’s just that note
that one single note
that I hear upon
your chest be it
heart beat or sleep

I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
Attract
If one wants
the ocean then
make room for
it in the
sand use what
you have available
and then create
its reason for
coming to you
Garden (for Ruc)
If you believe
then try this
God created paradise
calling it garden
and only after
added some people
and then it
was never the
same for people
sullied His Eden
that is until
gardeners began to
bring paradise back
in their yards
by their hands
sighing and saying
this is good
InMyWood
You catch me
at least you
say you do
you can tell
at least you
say you do
because I stop
talking to you
and begin talking
to whomever it
is I do
when I wander
deep into mind
like a child
deep in wood
wandering through thicket
and under brambles
discovering things yet
unknown to man
giving things names
known to me
and whatever else
in the wood
of my creativity
you don’t miss
me then when
I’m gone there
at least you
say you don’t
because you say
that I belong
there more than
I belong here
Blessings
I usually sit
and sometimes wonder
but usually sit
looking at you
sometimes I wander
my gaze upon
you it moves
delicately exploring touching
you with eyes
imagining the same
with my fingers
but usually sit
still with you
and count blessings
backwards you being
always the first
