You can’t
miss something
that doesn’t
belong here
and all
things that
once were
never do
Author: Harlan Didrickson
I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
Scratch
And now nothing
for everything’s done
and everyone else
tired from waiting
have made their
way along alone
it’s this way
so you see
impatience does itch
and they will
always find someone
to scratch it
Chores
Things to do
people to see
laundry to wash
dishes to clean
somewhere in between
a few thoughts
wandering around wondering
Seeing
What we frequently
seek is never
found outside of
ourselves but we
infrequently ever do
recognize it when
we encounter it
why is that
because we’ve convinced
ourselves that it
must look different
That
It’s never
about how
or when
or where
or why
but that
that you
do that
whatever that
that means
to you
