All of
these things
now scattered
I am
but tree
leaves fallen
naked and
barren and
they these
things strewn
heaped and
heavy swirling
about in
my madness
come back
to me
my memories
remind me
of summer
Author: Harlan Didrickson
I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
Balloon🎈
I am
but balloon
less air
lifeless and
flimsy capable
of buoyancy
but now
just one
more thing
down here
rarely seen
never missed
for who
ever remembers
a balloon
Hard(er)This
It’s hard
this this
leaving you
early each
morning to
do day
morning has
now become
petulant requiring
my attention
and you
my patience
waiting until
I’m done
WisdomIsn’t
Wisdom is
not brilliant
it appears
as part
of a
great mountain
and only
becomes a
diamond when
in the
hands of
someone who
understands its
true worth
Value
Never discount
your value
in this
world we
each have
our purpose
and contribution
to make
and none
of us
are ever
to be
found on
the sale
rack or
bargain basement
