These words
aren’t mine
they don’t
belong to
me but
rather they
belong to
those who
read me
words are
like children
born from
an inspiration
and once
given breath
becomes something
else entirely
important only
to those
who themselves
love them
Author: Harlan Didrickson
I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
LoveThis
Inspiration brings creativity
creativity brings expression
expression brings passion
passion brings experience
experience brings perspective
perspective brings insight
insight brings wisdom
and well gee
love brings it
all neatly together
therefore love what
you do love
who you choose
love who you’ve
been and love
who you are
JustRemember
Just remember this
we all have
our own lives
as little or
as grand that
we might think
that they are
but for me
I feel very
lucky to have
as much of
you as I
do when I
do and how
I do when
I have you
Betrayal
And now
and with
that and
now this
I can
say why
because before
when I
didn’t know
when or
where or
what I
certainly never
imagined whom
FallenLeaves
Now it’s November
and as winter’s
chill sets in
and the days
turn more into
nights I’m reminded
I’m reminded of
whom and when
of where and
what of why
and they all
blow past me
like the significance
of fallen leaves
all having once
been summer’s dream
canopies as we
gazed through them
pretending and imagining
but like them
these do just
swirl and dance
and then go
to somewhere else
