So many times before
Leaving almost everything behind
This time it’s different
This time I feel
As if I’m going

That America has voted
To remain on the side
Of Jesus and not
Christianity Christianity is what
People think that Jesus
Means whereas standing up
For the old the
Infirm the minorities and
The rights of others
Is what Jesus means
Democracy has stood up
To the fascist agenda
We still remain free
JustMeBeing
I’m coming to terms
With so many things
I’m tossing things out
And tossing things off
Because I know that
Whatever is coming next
Requires me to be
Just be and be

Just me being me
FinallyFreed
I am Marley free
From boxes I am
Pandora free from furies
And I am Prometheus
Free from his chains
I am finally free
From the one ghost
That’s been haunting me
And like my friends
Above now that we’re
No longer bound what
Might we have learned
That mistakes no matter
How big or small
Were all just choices
We must take responsibility
For lessons befallen us
