Scissors
I studied my scissors
One edge is shiny
Slick and very smooth
The opposite side of
The very same edge
Is where it’s been
Ground down thus making
It sharp I think
That people are like
My scissors shiny smooth
And capable of cutting
Only one side is
Pretty while the other
Is where life wore
Them down making them
Almost always dangerously sharp
