In a flurry
happens a hurry
and plans scurry
about like fury
where to go
what to do
with you know
who calm down
smile don’t frown
wear a gown
be a clown

I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
Sun
Twilight is
daybreak’s twin
not identical
but of
the same
mother dusk
is dawn’s
and is
that too
but two
days down
Cup
Bean meets bean
meets a bee
in a pot
hot water added
given a stir
left to brew
next a blessing
and a plunge
pleasure we made
in a cup
vanilla honey coffee
Place
My life has
become a present
a wanted gift
a kind of
cozy and comfortable
given to myself
no more quickies
desperately trying to
fill some void
no more crazies
accepted as normal
just a quiet
and clean and
calm little place
I call home
Mirror
Even the ones
I thought were
different turned out
as the same
is that reflection
a reflection on
them or me
and who’s the
mirror to whom
