Most people are not
peaceful rather choosing chaos
whether it’s to occupy
or even to destroy
most unwittingly prefer it
holding space like peace
is akin to keeping
the tide from beach
fight all you want
but sea will take
what the sea wants
much like your chaos
will take your peace
as easily as if
it were a sandcastle

met then
we thought
when we
meet now
we know
the gap
between them
is the
heart learning
to beat
as one
Oars
Over here
over there
back and
forth we
go just
two oars
in the
same lagoon
moving the
same boat
forward to
where the
oars never
know land
or water
or somewhere
in between
called us
PeaceFully
Peace once found
is soon lost
wars of mind
are always waged
but peace once
found is found
again and eventually
is found forever
not a wish
not a hope
but a home
that home you

If love was
as easy as
breathing everyone would
but it’s not
it’s the sun
and moon and
stars of which
everyone can see
few ever hold
so dream they
do and wish
