Time to dust
and to wipe
what is left
that has settled
time to see
what was forgotten
laying in pieces
so small that
they are unrecognizable
into the bin
they finally go
right where they
have already gone

Peacefully
Peace isn’t found
it is grown
it emerges from
the fertile ground
known as forgiveness
in which you
have planted yourself
be the flower
that always finds
the sun be
it cloudy overcast
overnight or bright
Coattails
Like most things
whose coattails live
in my past
maybe now that
I’ve finally put
them to rest
I may entertain
them again but
not those specifically
for I have
outgrown the ones
I once wore
Ritual
In the quiet
that’s now become
I hear the
call of kettle
and the clank
of coffee cups
as though they’re
impatient little ones
trying to figure
out their way
around the kitchen
in a minute
I holler as
I drag myself
across cold floors
to witness that
there’s no one
here but me
myself and I
my divine cabal
Debt
The hardest thing
to let go
is the only
thing that’s not
good for you
why is that
because it means
that you have
settled your debt
to your broken
self and are
now finally free
to invest fully
in your new
and healthy you
