Sitting here 
watching it
snow I’m
reminded that 
it is 
chilling rain 
much like 
I suppose 
the tears
which once 
fell from 
my eyes 
that now 
dance with 
icy abandon 
having been 
once before 
salty fresh 

Just here
or there
or anywhere 
really said
the snowflake 
to the 
wind for 
the world 
knows snow 
but sees
not me

As I
slip away
leaving warmth 
and heartbeat
I never 
look back 
once gone 
now lost
a picture 
in paint
a locket
worn bumping
as I 
continue on 
through this 
lonely life 

To break 
one knows 
life is 
a reflection 
staring back 
at you 
giving reference 
this side
that side
in between 
nothing is 
it seems 
as it
seems is

I’m outside 
looking in
having once 
been there 
knowing how 
having done 
but now 
knowing how 
means little 
I’m left
to imagine 
not remember
