SummersEnd

Summers end brings

Rain here streets

Slick slither and

Shush as car

Tires roll sounding

Like nannies at

Bedtime heavy grey

Clouds pass like

Soupy sponges overhead

Dripping and scrubbing

The sky all

Is quiet except

For the lone

Barking wet dog

All else is

Green and damp

Except for me

I am dry

And warm like

A piece of

Toast awaiting the

Butter of sunshine

ToHeaven

The mind corrupts

The vision that

The heart sees

When in doubt

Listen to the

Melodies that the

Heart sings whether

They be swelling

Ballads or wrenching

Requiems they are

The songs of

Your life and

Will carry your

Soul to heaven

Photograph

Let a lover

Take your photograph

They capture those

Things others cannot

They have felt

Your heart and

Tasted your soul

CharlotteNC

The day appears

Like a sunny

Side up egg

Centered yellow surrounded

By clouds of

White staring down

And hungry I

Wonder how fulfilling

This day might

Be sides of

Early toasted trees

And homes steaming

From their chimneys

It’s is breakfast

Dawn here now

In a diner

Called Charlotte NC

RememberYou (to boo)

I will miss

You the minute

No wait the

Second you’re gone

Is that what

The tree feels

At the end

Of fall or

The dog feels

As the school

Bus pulls away

How dark is

Dark when all

That remains is

But your memory

What do I

Do now with

Moonless nights absent

Of your glow

Close my eyes

I must and

Simply remember you
