Humility is not weakness
In fact it’s strength
Humility is the admission
Of being present to
Someone and or something
Being greater than you
I think that love
And humility are synonymous
Humility is not weakness
In fact it’s strength
Humility is the admission
Of being present to
Someone and or something
Being greater than you
I think that love
And humility are synonymous
I seem to be
Really good at long
Distance things friends lovers
I have often wondered
If maybe I’m a
Black hole invisible in
Space but no I
Think that I’m a
Sun too hot to
Touch too far to
Orbit but just close
Enough to be seen
Wondered about and warming
Since I know that
You’re watching I’m
Going to prance around
And act silly and
Maybe make you laugh
And then fall next
To you and watch
The sun dance through
The orange leaves of
Autumn listening to you
Trying to convince me
That’s my favorite color
And there in the
Far I saw a
Yellow window glowing where
The road does stop
Behind me darkness swallowed
Night but up ahead
That lamp whispered welcome
Home though this home
Was no home of
Mine but an inn
I found comfort there
Amongst strangers who soon
Became friends in the
Thicket a new home faraway
From my familiar one
Love has a bitter
Aftertaste it lingers and
Like a dog that’s
Just eaten a bug
I spit and wipe
And wretch and gargle
And swish and finally
After the circus has
Left town I can
Once maybe cautiously taste
Love again but with
One eye closed obviously
